Wells-next-the-Sea

Wells-next-the-Sea beach, NorfolkWells-next-the-Sea is a charming, traditional seaside town on the north Norfolk coast. It is an area of outstanding natural beauty.

Wells has a beautiful sandy beach, backed by pine trees, sand dunes and colourful beach huts. The beach can be reached by using the miniature steam train from the harbour. Or enjoy the walk along the Quay with its active fishing fleet and sailing club.

The town is with its narrow streets is home to busy independent bakers, butchers and grocers. There are numerous galleries, restaurants and cafés as well as fine dining in pubs surrounding the green. Wells is close to Holkham Hall and Cley Marshes Nature Reserve – one of the finest bird-watching sites in the UK.
