Sculthorpe

The village of Sculthorpe is the ideal base to explore the beautiful North Norfolk coast and countryside, less than a 20 minute drive to Burnham Market and 30 minutes to the beautiful beaches at Wells, Holkham and Brancaster.  With golf, sailing, birdwatching and great pubs and restaurants found locally, there is always plenty to see and do.

The village has a church and 2 pubs, both serving food. Nearby Sculthorpe Moor is home to the Hawk & Owl Trust. The market town of Fakenham with a good range of shops, racecourse, cinema and weekly market and auction, is only a couple of miles away. A monthly Farmers Market is held on the fourth Saturday of the month.

Bluebell Barn is everything you would expect from a 5 star cottage, comfortable, spacious, well-equipped, good quality furniture, quirky décor, good shower and fluffy towels. We loved also the garden and the duck pond. Many interesting outings, Wells-next-the-sea, Cley next-the-sea, Cromer, nature reserves but the highlights were the trip to see the seals at Blakeney point, Holkham and a boat trip on the Broads. All in all a relaxing & enjoyable holiday and the weather was kind too! Ps. Merci pour le vin et les chocolats. September 2017

A really lovely weeks holiday. Our children were so pleased with a toy box in their room and lots of books, you really have thought of everything and touches like that have added to our stay at Bluebell Barn. Thank you. August 2017

Our 6th visit to Bluebell Barn and as good as ever! A lovely, relaxing break. Variable weather but not deterred. Made the most of coastal walks and the last of the stunning autumn colours. November 2016

Wow! What can I say? We have had a fabulous stay in the barn; clean, spacious and beautiful throughout. Weather has been good too. This is our 4th year coming to Norfolk and have enjoyed the sights as always. What a perfect stay – definitely will return. October 2016

Thank you for our chocolates and wine, very thoughtful. We have had a wonderful stay. The cottage is well equipped, homely and clean. The weather has been fantastic and we have discovered some beautiful places. Wells-next-the-sea was lovely and Holkham beach sandy and clean. We would have loved to have stayed longer and must definitely return. The cottage is so well situated – both location and places to eat – The Mill and Hourglass served great food. August 2016
