Cley mill

Cley-next-the Sea is a popular, pretty, coastal village on the North Norfolk coast, an area of outstanding natural beauty. Once a significant port on the Glaven estuary, the village is now a mecca for birdwatchers with the award winning bird reserve at Cley Marshes nearby.

The village is exceptionally well served with two pubs, both serving food, a tea room, Cley Smokehouse, bookshop, galleries and a delicatessen, all within easy walking distance.

Cley is perfectly situated for exploring the area and is within easy reach of the pretty Georgian town of Holt and the beautiful sandy beaches at Wells next the Sea, Holkham and Sheringham.

There’s lots to see and do in the area – sailing at Blakeney and Morston, cycling along quiet lane’s, crabbing at Blakeney and Wells and seal trips from Morston.

Just what we wanted, peace and quiet. Lovely place to stay. May 2017
