Binham is an unspoilt, rural Norfolk village surrounded by lovely open countryside. The village is well-served with a village shop, petrol pump, butcher and the friendly and welcoming Chequers Inn, serving food and with its own micro brewery. There is also a regular bus service to Holt and Wells.
Binham is the perfect place for discovering North Norfolk. The village is dominated by the 12th Century Benedictine Abbey, where classical concerts are held throughout the year, details of which can be found at English Heritage. The cottage is three miles from the coast at Stiffkey. Morston, Wells, Blakeney and Holkham are also within easy reach.
There is lots to see and do locally – sailing at Morston, Blakeney and Wells, birdwatching at the Cley Marshes nature reserve, walking the coastal path and seal trips from Morston. The Georgian town of Holt, with its excellent shopping, cafés and restaurants is also within a short drive.
Lovely house, very comfortable and great for meals and jigsaws. Beautiful area, great day biking from On Yer Bike cycle hire. Binham Priory and the dairy shop well worth a visit. Beautiful gardens at Felbrigg Hall, crabbing at Blakeney and Morston, lunches at Cley Visitor Centre, great garden at Glanford and afternoon tea. Lovely week! Thanks! Lovely food at Calabrese in Holt and The Chequers. August 2018
A lovely holiday house in a lovely village. Good food and service at The Chequers and Trevor at the shop. We’ve enjoyed cycling along the lanes. August 2018
Wonderful accommodation, so cosy, spacious and relaxing. Despite the rain we had the best of times playing games, chatting, eating, laughing and enjoying walks at Wells. We will be back, thank you, Easter 2018
